· “Aboo Hurayrah related that Allaah’s
· Messenger (pbuh) quoted
·
· Allaah is saying:
· I will declare war on whoever
· shows hostility to one of
·
· My pious worshippers. And the most beloved
· way by which My slave may
·
· come close to Me is by doing what I have
· made obligatory (fard) on him.
·
· My servant will continue to come closer to Me
· by doing voluntary acts of
·
· worship (nawaafil) until I love himlove him, I will become his hearing by which he hears, his sight by which he sees, his hand by which he holds things, and his feet by which he walks. If he asks Me anything, I will give it to him, and if he seeks refuge in Me, I will protect him. And if I were to hesitate to do anything, it would be to take the soul of the believer, for he dislikes death and I dislike to disappoint him.” Collected by al-Bukhaaree (Sahih al-Bukhari, vol. 8, pp. 336-7, no. 509). This sentence means that he will only listen to what Allaah wants him to hear, see only what Allaah wants him to see, touch or take only what Allaah wants him to touch or take, and go only where Allaah wants him to go.
